 WordPress 2.6.2
There is a new .1 release out for WordPress. Unlike 2.6.1 everyone should upgrade to 2.6.2 because this is a security release. This is especially important for folks who use open registration. Here are the details from the WordPress blog:
If you allow open registration on your blog, you should definitely upgrade. With open registration enabled, it is possible in WordPress versions 2.6.1 and earlier to craft a username such that it will allow resetting another user’s password to a randomly generated password. The randomly generated password is not disclosed to the attacker, so this problem by itself is annoying but not a security exploit. However, this attack coupled with a weakness in the random number seeding in mt_rand() could be used to predict the randomly generated password.
You can download WordPress 2.6.2 here.
WordPress seems to be coming out with a lot of new updates. In the case of a security release this is a good thing but can get frustrating if you have a lot of blogs. I use a pluging called Instant Upgrade and I highly recommend it. It makes upgrading WordPress very painless. So if you have a lot of blogs orhate upgrading manually you should definitely download this plug-in.

Shawn from Elite Blogger is in the process of setting up what he hopes to be the largest WordPress theme site on the internet. The URL for his WordPress Theme site is Word.PressThe.me. Pretty sweet domain name if you ask me. Shawn also has a pretty cool design on the site.
 The Word.Press.The.me logo
I encourage everyone to help Shawn out and add a theme if you have one. This is a good opportunity to be part of something great. Shawn is a very nice guy and runs a great blog. I think it would be awesome if he achieved his goal.

In typical WordPress fashion a .1 software build has been released shortly after a .0.
There are approximately 60 issues fixed with this release. You can view them here. This is not a security release so upgrading is optional.
I have not yet upgraded but plan to do so this weekend. If anyone has any issues please leave a comment here. I never had any problems with 2.6 as others have reported. The issues I did have were normally related to a plug-in which was easily fixed.

It took a little longer than I thought it would this evening but my theme is finally available. As you can tell in the image below there are four different colors. A live demo for each of the colors is available here.

All the details including information on the affiliate program can be found here. I am really excited to be able to offer this. There has been a great deal of positive feedback on my theme and I hope that will carryover to sales.
Contest
At the end of the month the the top three commentators will receive a free theme. In addition to that I will I will choose one person to get a free Developer License. So comment often.
Special Offer
If you can’t wait until the end of the month and want to make a purchase now I will sweeten the deal. For every Single User License your purchase I will give you one free. Simply let me know what color you want by sending me a message when you make your payment via PayPal. This is only available if you purchase the theme directly from me. Those who purchase from affiliates are not eligible for this offer.
If you have any questions please leave a comment or email me.

The blue version of my theme.
Hello everyone. I am still in the process of getting my theme ready to sell. I am going to be offering two different options, a single domain license and a developer’s license.
The pricing for these have not been finalized but it is my goal to make them affordable. If you have any input on this please leave a comment. There will also be an affiliate program available.
In addition to that I am also planning on having a contest to give away some of the designs. So stay tuned for that.
